![]() Run Privateer 2 in DosBox again, if go in the options menu and configure the joystick in game, you might get it working. Now you must open the file in the DosBox directory. You might want to try changing the joystick type to reflect whatever joystick you are using as well. Scroll down to the section and change timed to true. If you are having trouble getting your joystick going, firstly try going to your DosBox installation directory and opening the DosBox options/configuration file. Privateer 2 The Darkening Joystick Troubleshooting ( 10:05) It's all good btw and I like challenge.Privateer 2: The Darkening - Origin (1996) Anyway I'll wait for the next release and put it through the paces. Burn Cycle would start windows with no splash and autorun the game in about 10 seconds on the old setup but on the new with exactly the same conf settings and core options it takes about twice that time and crashes on the game intro unless I press a button to skip it. My windows 3.1 games were running ok on the last release with my specific settings but one the newest release with the same settings in the core options it seems to be a lot slower. When I attempted to mirror the conf settings with the core options and make game specific options I noticed that some of the games with jittery compared to the last core and some games didn't even run. But when I upgraded to the newer SVN core I noticed that all the environment settings in the conf files were being ignored in favour of the new core options. Using the conf method seemed to work great on retroarch with the previous Dosbox core once I'd figured out the mouse emulation and mapping the keyboard controls so it was easy to edit the existing conf files just changing the path which I did with a script so took no time. ![]() So you can imagine how many conf files I have. I've always used this method to setup the Dosbox environment per game hence I wrote the wiiflow Dosbox plugin specifically to load conf files. My Dosbox setup with the release prior to the newest was to have a conf file for each game and in that conf file would be the settings for the environment cycles, processor spec, memory etc. I'll hold off doing a video comparison until the next release. Great work on the Saturn update btw just been playing Nights into dreams and it's well playable. I'll try and upload a video in next few days to show a comparison. Surely if they were working before on the previous core they would still work on the updated core because game specific configs had not changed. It's just unusual because I thought that when you load a conf file in Dosbox it overrides any other settings. I notice that there are a lot more options for the core so maybe it's just a case of playing around with these. Games that were working but are now glitched to pieces include Burn Cycle (on windows 3.1), 11th hour, lba2, Voyeur II. Is there any way to setup left analog to mouse controls on psc?Īlso tried the latest update with new Dosbox SVN core and it's playing havoc with a lot of my existing conf files that were working on the last version. I had it setup to the left analog on my pc and retropie but I believe I had to use an xbox360 driver for the pad. I find that I'm holding the controller right hand side grip in both hands just to get more control. I've got it working now but for some games having the mouse mapped to the right analog is really difficult to control. I thought that the auto map had set it all up but I noticed that when I played Ape Escape on psx the right analog wasn't working properly. Retroarch hadn't setup my dual shock 3 correctly.
